ABOUT PALING TRANSPORTER LTD.

Paling Transporter Limited is a major North American independent heavy equipment manufacturer, taking great pride in producing the highest quality material handling equipment in the world.

Established in the 1950’s by the Evans brothers, Paling began as a family run gas station on the corner of Barton Street and Paling Avenue, in Hamilton Ontario. The company evolved into Paling Collision, focusing on heavy truck and trailer repair. This venture led to doing maintenance on heavy transporters employed by Hamilton steel giant Dofasco (now ArcelorMittal Dofasco). A young mechanic was working on refurbishing a transporter when he realized that Paling could not only repair them, but also build them. And build them better.

Bringing his idea to the company’s owners, the Transporter division of Paling was born, manufacturing its first prototype transporter in 1986. In the decades since, Paling Transporter has grown into the company it is today, supplying transporters to major steel companies in its own backyard, as well as all over the world. Paling considers its transporters to be of the highest quality of any transporter currently available on the market. Paling equipment is built to last , and in fact, the very first prototype that was built in 1986 is still running and putting in hours to this day at ArcelorMittal Dofasco, over 30 years later.

The two pillars of Paling Transporter have always been and always will be quality and service.
